Beer Cocktail recipe of the Month

Posted on May 13, 2016

Bar patrons have always had an insatiable appetite for new drink combinations and if you are not already serving a Beer Cocktail on your specials menu, you are not ‘tapping’ into a new market of consumers where beer, in its traditional form, would not be their drink of choice.  With a bit of creativity, you can increase your sales of the golden ale just by including one of these on your cocktail list

To start you off… here’s the recipe for  a zingy “Aperol Mist”

Servings: Makes 1

  • 30 ml Aperol

Aperol is an Italian aperitif made of bitter orange, gentian, rhubarb, and cinchona

  • 30 ml fresh lemon juice
  • Belgian-style wheat beer (such as Hoegaarden)
  • Lemon twist (for serving)

  • Combine Aperol and lemon juice in a pint glass filled with ice. Top off with beer. Garnish with lemon twist.
